TTI exhibited at the Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ on April 6-8, 2005. The Atlantic Builders Convention is one of the most respected and successful conferences and expositions on the East coast.

Mr. Ian Lambert, President of TTI, spoke on Friday, April 8th as part of a panel discussion entitled, “Mold-Technical, Remediation & Legal Aspects.”  

This session addressed methods and techniques for evaluating and remediating mold and steps to take when confronted with legal issues.

Craig Durand presented a technical workshop at the USEPA REGION III’S 2004 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & PREVENTION CONFERENCE entitled Complying with SPCC's New Tank Inspection Requirements . The conference took place from December 5th through the 8th at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Craig’s workshop was scheduled for Session No. 2 on Tuesday, December 7th at 10am. Mr. Durand has  presented this topic at other conventions/tradeshows including the 2004 ACHMM National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada and ICE 2003 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as for private companies in various industries. TTI Environmental, Inc. (TTI) participated in America's Walk for Diabetes on October 10, 2004 at Cooper River Park.

TTI participated again this year in the American Diabetes Association's America's Walk for Diabetes fundraising event. Thank you for your donations and support. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference to the 17 million Americans who suffer from diabetes and the 16 million people in the United States with Pre-Diabetes.

The City of Camden has contracted TTI to conduct technical training in conjunction with the USEPA/Camden Brownfields Job Training Pilot. This contract is worth almost $200,000. As a result of this contract, TTI has decided to open a satellite office in the City of Camden to conduct the training activities. The concept behind the City of Camden Brownfield Training Program enables the development of employee candidates for the environmental services industry. The course requirements allow graduates to work in multi-disciplined environmental fields thereby increasing their value to potential employers.




Vice President, Craig Durand recently delivered a technical session at the ACHMM Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada entitled “Complying with SPCC’s New Tank Inspection Requirements”.  The session was well attended by 120 representatives of industry, engineering firms and government agencies.  The USEPA’s Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Regulation was recently revised, making the topic extremely relevant to the members of many industry sectors.   The regulatory revision strengthened tank inspection requirements and set specific deadlines for compliance.  Mr. Durand’s presentation covered regulatory requirements, inspection standards, benefits beyond compliance, inspection methods and a discussion of case studies.  For a full abstract of the presentation visit the conference website (ACHMM 2004 Annual Conference | Presentation by Craig Durand).

 TTI is pleased to announce that Craig Durand was elected to the position of President for the Philadelphia Chapter of the ACHMM.  Prior to being elected President, Craig served as the Meetings Chairperson where he organized numerous facility tours and arranged for speakers at chapter events.  Craig has been an active member in this organization since 1994 and has attended several national conferences.  This year, Craig served as the Philadelphia chapter delegate at the national meeting held in Las Vegas, Nevada where he also delivered a technical session on complying with recent revisions to the USEPA Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) regulation.  If you would like to learn more about ACHMM and the Philadelphia chapter, please contact Craig or visit their website at http://www.achmm.org/ch/philly/home.php.




TTI recently took part in the “Newspaper In Education (NIE)” program through The Burlington County Times.  TTI’s sponsorship helped to provide newspapers to Burlington County schools for the 2004-2005 school year.  TTI’s donation specifically went to help the reading programs at the Beeler Elementary School located in Marlton, New Jersey.  We received numerous thank you letters from the students, and we were pleased that we were able to be a part of this event.  Some of the letters from the students can be viewed below.  TTI has participated in this program for four (4) consecutive years.

TTI is pleased to announce that their contract to perform asbestos consulting services to the Newark Public School System has been renewed.  TTI has also been recently awarded a contract worth over $500,000 to perform soil remediation services for a former foundry site located in Bridgeton, NJ. 

The City of Camden has contracted TTI to conduct technical training in conjunction with the USEPA/Camden Brownfields Job Training Pilot.  This contract is worth almost $200,000.  As a result of this contract, TTI has decided to open a satellite office in the City of Camden to conduct the training activities.

Craig Durand and Michael Miles of TTI Environmental, Inc. made a presentation to the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing in January of 2004.  The discussion focused on Federal and State Regulations that involve non-destructive inspection of tanks, piping and pressure vessels.  Topics included an overview of regulatory programs, industry standards for inspections, types of non-destructive testing utilized and interesting field experiences.  Craig and Mike were presented with a Liberty Bell plaque of appreciation.




TTI participated in a presentation to members of the Builders League of Southern New Jersey on December 4, 2003.  The presentation, Mold Control : How to Identify, Prevent, Remediate and Defend Against Mold Problems, also featured members of the law firm of Capehart Scatchard.  The event detailed issues relating to mold and its impact to the real estate industry and owners of commercial and residential buildings.  TTI & Capehart Scatchard co-sponsored a conference previously at the Burlington County Enterprise Center, which resulted in an invitation to speak at the Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ)'s Symposium 2003 on June 6, 2003.

Michael Miles, Senior Project Manager for TTI's Tank Management Services (TMS) Division has recently been certified by the American Petroleum Institute (API) for Pressure Vessel Inspections (API 510).  Mr. Miles also maintains several other certifications from the institute, including API 570 (Piping Inspector) and API 653 (Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector).



TTI recently collected non-perishable food items, clothes and household good for AMVETS.  AMVETS is a nonprofit organization that has provided service and support to America’s veterans and their communities for over 60 years.  For more information about holding a similar collection drive, individual contributions, and the organization and its services visit the AMVETS website at www.amvets.org.



TTI collected items over the holidays for the Women’s Opportunity Center at the YMCA of Burlington County. These non-perishable food items, clothes, toys and other household items are donated to help women and their families through the holiday season. TTI had successfully participated in this drive last year and hope to make it an annual event. The Women's Opportunity Center accepts donations year round for numerous programs.

 TTI held a special 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Outreach Program Class on August 25 - 28, 2003. 

The course covered all aspects of 29 CFR 1926 (Construction  Standard) in detail, which includes those parts referenced in 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry Standard).  The following topics were covered during the presentation of the course:  Introduction to OSHA, OSHA Act/General Duty clause, General Safety and Health Provisions, OSHA Recordkeeping, Electrical Safety to include Lockout / Tagout, Fall Protection and Fall Arrest Systems, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, the new Steel Erection Standard, Scaffolding, Stairways and Ladders, HAZCOM., Fire Protection and Prevention, Welding and Cutting, Excavations including soil classification/testing and trench shoring systems, Personal Protective Equipment, Concrete and masonry, Demolition and confined Space.

The course was intended for all persons involved in the safety profession, those designated by their companies as a Competent Person and Project Managers.
