ASBESTOS TRAINING PROGRAMS

TTI Environmental, Inc. (TTI) first developed Asbestos training programs in 1986 to prepare individuals to meet established EPA/AHERA, OSHA and State/Local Requirements for asbestos abatement workers, contractors and supervisors. Since that time, TTI has provided asbestos certifications to thousands of individuals who have gone on to productive careers within the asbestos industry.

TTI is an approved training agency for EPA/AHERA worker and contractor/supervisor initial asbestos training programs by the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) and the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE). Our courses are approved and accepted for reciprocity for certification by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Labor (PADOL).

All TTI courses provide a comprehensive background for understanding and evaluating asbestos hazard under OSHA Class I, II, III and IV classifications. Courses, while required to meet federal and state requirements, can be customized to specific client needs.

All classes are provided on an open enrollment or contract basis to potential clients. TTI provides all equipment, materials and manuals for each student. Classes consist of lectures, videos (highlighting classroom instruction and discussion) and class interaction. Practical hands-on training utilizes various workstations featuring pump calibration analysis, glove bag techniques, worker protection, respirator fitting/testing/wearing and use of protective clothing and equipment. Each student will be given a certificate upon successful completion of a comprehensive exam which a 70% or better score must be achieved.

TTI's instructors/health and safety professionals possess over 40 years field and classroom experience in the asbestos industry and are certified by the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) and meet USEPA Requirements.

These courses are intended for the following: Architects, Attorneys, Health & Safety Coordinators, Property Insurers, Asbestos Abatement Personnel, Engineers, Industrial Hygienists, Contractors/Supervisors, School Board Members/Employees, Asbestos Consultants, Building/Real Estate Managers/Owners and Maintenance/Custodial Personnel.

OSHA TRAINING PROGRAM

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established over 100 standards which explicitly require employers to train their employees in the safety and health related aspects of their jobs. In addition to government mandated programs, individual employers have recognized that an effective Health & Safety Training Program for workers can reduce accident and illness rates, lower insurance rates and demonstrate a pro-active management support commitment which in-turn improves morale.

The Safety & Training Division was established in 1988 at TTI for a path to career development within the environmental industry. The training division offers a full line of standard and customized programs that comply with all Federal guidelines.

The programs are directed towards service trades, commercial/industrial businesses, hospitals, schools, architects, engineers, environmental consultants and building management associations and are offered on an open enrollment and/or contract basis to our clients.

The primary focus of all programs is on personal safety, job site safety, proper work practices, and recordkeeping requirements that meet federal guidelines but can be customized to meet specific client needs.

All classes are either conducted at our facility or at specific clients facilities, where applicable by a staff of health and safety professionals, with extensive field experience, who possess NJDOH certified, CET certification and are USEPA trained.

SAFETY & HEALTH CONSULTING AND FIELD SERVICES

TTI Environmental's Safety & Training Division provides a variety of safety consulting and field services. Qualified professionals develop and prepare a wide range of plans and programs in accordance with USEPA/OSHA Regulations as well as state standards. These include but are not limited to:

Permit Required Confined Spaces
Respiratory Protection
Personal Protective Equipment
Emergency Response to Releases of Hazardous Substances

In conjunction with plan or program development, TTI offers on-site safety inspection and oversight. These services are applicable to construction operations, industrial/manufacturing facilities and remediation sites. Our field technicians function as the safety coordinator/supervisor responsible for the implementation of the construction or remediation site's safety plan, air monitoring and sampling procedures, excavation and trenching precautions, personnel and equipment decontamination, and tailgate or toolbox safety meetings. Industrial and manufacturing safety inspections emphasize compliance with appropriate OSHA Regulations, standard operating safety procedures, and employee training.
